Due to stricter regulations around domain information, many registrars have been sending out emails asking domain owners to verify that the contact information on record is correct. But unfortunately, due to the formatting of these messages, many appear illegitimate or suspicious by looking similar to phishing emails.

It is important to note that many of these messages do not require action if your contact information hasn’t changed, however if they ask you to verify your email address, failure to do so can take down your website, email, and possibly other business critical systems.
